Lucía Sainz shared her thoughts after their last tournament together. “The week in Miami is over. I’m leaving with good feelings about my game, having given the number 1s a run for their money, although I’m left with that nagging desire to always want a little more. Not closing out a set always hurts! This was also my last tournament with Raquel. Thank you for this shared journey and for everything we experienced on the court. Now it’s time to move on, focused on what’s next. Onward and upward!”, she said.
Eugenio looks ahead
Raquel Eugenio also expressed gratitude and optimism. “Miami. We lost in the round of 16. This was my last tournament with Lu and Marce, thank you so much for everything you taught me and for your support from the beginning. You introduced me to two great people. We’ll see each other on the courts. For my part, I’m happy with my level and eager to keep working”, she commented.
