A milestone for padel
The 20th edition of the Mediterranean Games, set for August 21–28 in Taranto, Italy, will mark the first time padel is included as a medal-awarding discipline. Competitions will feature men’s, women’s, and mixed events, representing a significant step in the sport’s international recognition and its growing ties with the Olympic movement.
France’s men’s team
Captain Pablo Ayma has selected Dylan Guichard, Bastien Blanqué, Timeo Fonteny, and Yoan Boronad. Blanqué brings experience from major tournaments, while Guichard leads the new generation. Fonteny and Boronad continue their rise after reaching the main draw at Pretoria P1. Notably absent is Thomas Leygue, who had previously been a key figure in French padel.
Women’s squad and coaching
