The rise of padel
Padel is played on an enclosed court with glass walls, using smaller racquets and rules similar to tennis. Its accessibility and fast-paced nature have made it one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. The league will feature four men’s and four women’s categories across different skill levels, ensuring broad participation.
Regional pathway
Arizona’s teams will face opponents from Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and Colorado. Victories at the city stage will lead to regional play in San Diego this June, with national finals scheduled for Nashville in August.
Local momentum
Conquer Padel Club, a dedicated facility in Phoenix, opened last year, providing a hub for training and community engagement. This infrastructure is expected to support the state’s growing enthusiasm for the sport.

“Arizona will see a lot of growth this year in terms of padel,” Luis Fernando Ramirez Aristeguieta said. He noted that Arizona’s teams had planned to compete last year but were unable to organize in time.
