Adidas has launched a special collection ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, celebrating the cultural and social overlap between football and padel. Both sports thrive on teamwork, passion, and creativity, and the new line highlights how professional footballers often play padel for fun, fitness, or cross-training. The initiative connects two global passions in a year when the World Cup will be hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The heart of the collection
At the center of the launch are 12 limited-edition padel rackets, each built on the same technical platform to ensure consistent performance. They feature a round shape for a larger sweet spot, fiberglass frames and faces for durability and comfort, and an EVA Soft Performance core for control. Weighing between 360 and 375 grams, with a thickness of 38 mm, the rackets emphasize stability and ease of play rather than extreme power.
National team inspiration
Each racket carries unique colors and motifs inspired by national football teams. Spain’s edition features red and yellow tones, the United States version incorporates stars and stripes, while Mexico’s design reflects green, white, and red. Other countries represented include Argentina, France, Italy, England, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Colombia, alongside a “Multination” model blending host themes.
Expanding to other racket sports
The collection also includes pickleball paddles inspired by the host nations and a beach tennis racket designed with Brazil’s vibrant energy in mind. These additions broaden the celebration of racket sports, reinforcing Adidas’ vision of connecting communities through shared values of competitiveness and joy.
Accessories and apparel
Complementary gear such as bags, apparel, and shoes form part of the catalogue. Models like the Tour 2026 and Protour editions offer thermo compartments and organized storage, while padel-specific clothing and footwear come in fresh colorways aligned with the World Cup theme.
Padel’s global rise
Padel has grown into a consolidated sport with clubs, tournaments, and fans expanding worldwide. Adidas sees this moment as an opportunity to link padel’s identity with football’s biggest stage, celebrating both disciplines’ shared spirit of ambition and unity. The World Cup 2026 padel collection embodies this union, offering players and fans a way to connect with two sports that continue to inspire passion across continents.
